How To - Using the Dashboard & Widgets
The dashboard displays up to six widgets as configured by site admin.
These widgets allow you to view summary information about all operations on the current day.
Viewing the Logo
This widget displays the corporate logo. This widget is display only.
Managing Notes and Alerts
This widget displays a list of all current notes.

Notes and alerts can be added for the current day or for future dates.

Notes can be set to repeat daily, weekly, monthly or yearly.

Static notes are persistent, so will be displayed every day until the note is deleted.
To add a note /alert:

Select either the alert number or the note number to display the Notes window
- Select New Note to create new, or select one of the notes/alerts to edit an existing one. The Notes window for today’s date is displayed:
- Select the required note type from the drop-down list (Static, Scheduled Alert, or Scheduled).
- Either:
- For Static Notes, enter the note text as required and select Save.
- For Scheduled Notes, use the drop-down menus to set the date.
Deselect the Full Day check-box if you want the note to be displayed at a particular time of the day. The date selector changes to allow you to define a date/time range.Select the repeat frequency as required by selecting Daily, Weekly, Monthly or Yearly from the drop down list.
Enter the note text as required and select Save

For Scheduled Alerts, use the drop-down menus to set the date for the scheduled alert.
Deselect the Full Day check-box if you want the alert to be displayed at a particular time of the day. The date selector changes to allow you to define a date/time range for the alert to be displayed.
The alerts are displayed first, followed by the scheduled notes, then static notes are displayed at the end.
Select the repeat frequency as required by selecting Daily, Weekly, Monthly or Yearly from the drop down list.
Enter the note text as required and select Save
Checking the Store Inbox
This widget displays a list of current inbox messages.
Select a message to view its contents.

Select Clear Old to delete all previously read messages.

Select Clear All to delete all messages from the Inbox.
Viewing Session Stats
This widget displays the session stats. This widget is display only.
Viewing Current Wait Times
This widget displays the cover count and wait time combinations. Users can select one of the wait time options to add a guest to the selected table.
Viewing Upcoming Reservations
This widget displays a list of upcoming reservations within the next two hours, showing the guest name, number of guests per Adult, Child and highchair requirements. This widget is display only.
Viewing Table Stats and Guest Courses
This widget tells users the number of tables at each status and their level of occupancy. This widget is display only.
Viewing Cover Levels
This widget shows users the number of covers for the past seven days, the current day and the next seven days. You can hover over the daily cover levels to see more information.
The current day is highlighted in purple, weekends in green and weekdays in blue. This widget is display only.
Viewing Available Tables
This widget shows the same information that you can obtain by selecting the Available Tables icon on the liveRES Tables header. (The actions on the Available Tables widget also work in exactly the same way as they do when the Available Tables window has been accessed via the Tables header.)
Viewing the Guest Summary
This widget shows the same guest summary information that is shown on the table plan.
If configured as a widget, Guest Summary information will be displayed even if the table planning tab is not configured to show the guest summary.
The actual columns on display will change according to the site configuration.
